1. What is a campervan site?
A campervan site is a designated area where you can legally park your campervan overnight, often with facilities like water, electricity, and waste disposal.
2. Can I stay at a campervan site for free?
Some campervan sites are free, especially in rural areas, but campsites require a booking fee. Always check local regulations and warning signs before parking overnight.
3. How do I find sites near me?
You can use online directories like VanStops.uk or our mobile app to find campervan locations close to your current location.
4. What facilities are available at campervan sites?
Facilities vary but may include electricity hookups, fresh water, toilets, showers, Wi-Fi, and waste disposal points. Our off grid campervan locations sometimes have nothing so come prepared
5. Do I need to book a site in advance?
In peak travel seasons, it’s advisable to book in advance to secure a spot. Off-peak, some sites allow walk-in stays. For wild locations in peak season many spots could already be taken, try get there early to avoid dissapointment
6. Are your sites pet-friendly?
Many campervan sites welcome pets, but always check their policy in advance and keep animals on a lead where required. Our wild campervan locations are as pet friendly as you are!
7. Can I stay at a campervan site year-round?
Some sites are open year-round, while others close during the winter months. Always check availability before travel. Most of our wilder locations are obviously year round but check each listing first
8. What’s the difference between a campervan site and a caravan park?
Campervan sites are typically smaller and cater specifically to van travellers, while caravan parks are often larger and may include static homes and touring caravans. At Van Stops our personally selected campervan sites & locations range from places to explore, pubs to eat and sleep plus campsites that are campervan friendly. We only show campsites we have visited, most are well priced and have showers & toilets as standard
